Retirement administrators reform rock band to launch album
The group first formed to play Mallow Street Rocks in 2013, but got back together during the lockdown.
Musicians from the company’s offices across the UK, including Belfast, Bristol, Glasgow and Leeds, presented individual performances through an app called Garage Band. The tracks were then produced to recreate classic hits such as Dusty Springfield’s. Son of a Preacher Man, John Lennon To imagine and Neil Young Gold heart.
The album is now available for download on major streaming sites such as Apple Music, Spotify and Deezer.
All proceeds from streaming or downloading the album will be donated to Nordoff Robbins, a charity dedicated to studying the impact music therapy can have on those affected by a life-limiting illness. life, isolation or disability.
Since the release of his first single from the album, Sound of silence, which stars rising singer / songwriter Amy Baillie, the track has appeared on local radio stations Celtic Music Radio and River Radio. The song was even featured as the first track on BBC Radio Scotland’s Upload feature, featuring local musicians on lockdown.
Professional Trustee and Musician Mike Crowe said: âWe brought the band together in 2020 as a collective to allow everyone to creatively come together and have the chance to participate in the recording of the songs that they loved it.
