The Kirkland Lake Gold Miners start the season on the road for two games at home and at home with rivals Timmins Rock.

The puck drops on September 9e at McIntyre Arena for a 7:30 a.m. start. Then the following night Saturday September 10e the teams are back in KL for a 7pm departure at the Joe.

League officials said, “The on-ice action in the 348-game slate will run from September 8 through March 19, with each of the 12 NOJHL member clubs playing 58 games each.

“This will feature each team having 28 home games, as well as another 28 on the road, plus two more during the league showcase, which returns and will be held on October 4 and 5 at the Gerry McCrory Sports Complex. Countryside in Sudbury. .

“Respective opponents and start times for all 12 NOJHL Showcase games will be announced at a later date. Two other games, a pair of home dates for the Espanola Express, will also be released, once finalized. Each of the league’s dozen teams is also expected to play twice on the same day, also at the start of the campaign. Those two six-game dates are Saturday, September 12 and Friday, September 16.
