Final preparations underway for the grand opening of the Seminole Hard Rock’s Guitar Hotel – CBS Miami

HOLLYWOOD (CBSMiami) – Final preparations come a week before the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino unveils its $ 1.5 billion expansion. Cameras have been allowed inside what will be the new entrance to the hotel and casino.

The leaders also presented their new location “Hard Rock Live”.

“The farthest distance from any seat, at what we call the center mic, is 168 feet, in fact there is no such thing in the United States,” Allen said.

Allen is the international president and CEO of Seminole Gaming. He said the new site is expected to host 200 events per year, which is double the old “Hard Rock Live”.

“We’ve spared no expense to create something that isn’t just about live music, but is designed for full TV as well. Any event like Broadway. Obviously boxing and martial arts, ”Allen said

The new show area carried a price tag of $ 125 million. It is designed to accommodate 7,000 people. Sting, Alicia Keyes, Billy Joel, Bret Michaels and Gladys Knight are some of the artists who will be performing here.

“With the previous installation, we were unable to attract a real residency with an artist. We will be announcing residencies for some major world-class artists shortly, ”said Allen.

This will be ready when the iconic guitar tower opens next Thursday. As teams prepare for the grand opening, the organization is also working to find answers at a construction site in New Orleans. Last weekend, a building collapsed at the Hard Rock Hotel. It is a site with a private owner who had a contract to use the name “Hard Rock”.

“We’re definitely working with that owner, obviously with the contractor, and local code enforcement issues to make sure the right things are done,” Allen said.

Back home, hotel and casino executives expect thousands of new visitors starting next week, which they say is their jackpot.
