Disney attraction faces major new theme needs push to start

Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort are home to many iconic attractions that visitors come from all over the world to enjoy.

One of the most popular thrill rides of all time at Disney is Space Mountain.

The attraction takes Disney Park visitors on a thrilling adventure through space as they ride a rocket in the dark with nothing but stars to see. Well, except when the lights come on for a slight accident.

Tik Tok user DisneyWorldTom (@waltdisneyworldparks) recently shared a video of a Disney cast member having to push a Space Mountain rocket with the lights on to get the ride going again.

We’ve reported similar incidents before, but this one’s kind of unique in that we see the lights on and after the Disneyland cast member gives a good thumbs up, the roller coaster starts up again and guests can complete the rides.

Space Mountain will stop for a day next month and return with a new limited-time theme of “Hyperspace Mountain”, which adds star wars attraction elements.

Disneyland’s official description of Space Mountain reads:

All systems will

Navigate through a vast futuristic space station as you make your way to Mission Control. Climb aboard a sleek flight vehicle and get ready for a high-flying adventure into the far reaches of space.

Slowly ascend through a swirling solar field as your rocket fires up. Immerse yourself in a spectacular spiral nebula then, when the countdown ends, hold on tight!

As you rush through the endless darkness, your rocket soars and twists through the void, accelerating faster and faster. Feel the g-force as you head into the unknown!

Immersive sound effects and evocative music add to the intense sensory experience.

Face the most epic journey of your earthly life and accept your mission: to conquer Space Mountain.
